We recently
e-mailed our first OvalPOD owners to ask for any feedback.
Basically this is a brand new product and we were very interested to
see the response. See below their comments, warts and all.......(Not
too many warts though, it has to be said!)
“The OvalPOD trampoline is an excellent purchase and as a family we
are all very pleased with it. Mum and Dad are using it as much as
the children ………….. why not?
I can recommend this trampoline to other people for the following
reasons:
-
The general build quality of the metal frame, netting and
accessories are superior to other trampolines
-
It is easy to assemble and took 2 people about 3 hours - the
maker’s claim however that it can be assembled in 1 hour is very
ambitious
-
The safety netting system works very well and looks professional
-
The bounce area is very large - allowing more than 1 person or
child to play and bounce together with care
-
The shoe bag, ladder and cover all add to the overall quality of
this trampoline and demonstrate the maker’s attention to detail
-
The delivery was made within 3 days to the arranged time
-
Hassle free purchase & delivery of the safest and strongest
trampoline that I have used / seen
-
It is a big trampoline and the safety netting is quite tall and
so prospective buyers must understand the area that it will take
up. It fits our garden perfectly however!”

“The
suggestion that this can be put together in an hour is a bit
optimistic. In fairness I may not have read this on your web site
but I certainly saw this in a few places. It goes together really
well, strong and robust construction with very few screws. The
instructions were a bit poor and importantly the only way we could
get legs '7 & 8' into the T connector was to fully construct the leg
section including fully tightening the screws (21) There was
considerable tension across the leg structure and quite a lot of
force was needed to get it into the T connectors. We tried several
times before we realised the screws needed to be fitted and
tightened before locating them. However once there the section was
good and solid. It took us nearly 3 hours still not bad but I had
hoped for a quicker assembly.
Overall I am really impressed it was worth standing out in the rain
and wind with a torch to finish off the netting fixings!
Your own communication has been spot on and is an important aspect
of internet buying. The very strong boxes arrived in good
condition and all the components were well packed. (worryingly we
have 2 screws over.....) no unnecessary packaging. We found the
instructions very 'wordy' try reading 1a out loud! the picture is
helpful and perhaps could have been sequenced to show the order of
the build. Were these instructions intended for a round trampoline?
possibly doesn't matter but when you come to fit the netting and the
bed for that matter getting the orientation correct is important and
not obvious from ground level.
The shape is great having the 'long' section of the oval is really
useful. We had a few trees to negotiate and seem to have found a
spot between them all which I think would have been a lot more
difficult with a round trampoline
My
10 yr old daughter loves it, is truly in bounce heaven!
Many
thanks for the opportunity to give feedback, I would be happy to
recommend both you and the product to others”

“Thanks for the message, all fit together easily, though all the
ties and straps seem overly fiddly, especially for bricklayers
fingers like mine, the kids love it though so all worthwhile.
My only real complaint (not really a complaint, more an
observation) is the weight of the main box, surely two boxes would
be easier.”

“We
only assembled the trampoline yesterday, it took a while..! (the
hardest part was fitting the legs) Therefore the children have
not been on it much yet, however the initial impression of the
trampoline is GREAT! It is a great shape not only for the garden as
our garden is fairly small but for my daughter who is a budding
gymnast!!
I
was going to contact you regarding the trampoline cover, I can
confirm that it was missing and would be grateful if you could
forward this as soon as possible in order to protect the trampoline
in case of any more bad weather.
Many
thanks for your fast delivery and good communication.
Please inform me as soon as the cover is available for despatch.”

“We
were impressed with the speedy delivery but unfortunately we did
struggle with the instructions in putting it up. The instructions
were not the clearest and we did over stretch two springs in the
process. The biggest stumbling block was putting the legs on to the
top ring as they seemed out by a good half a foot but with a bit of
brute force they went in ok.
Having now succeeded in getting it up it does fit perfectly in
the garden and the kids do love it. It just took a little longer
than anticipated to get there.
thanks”

“The Ovalpod is great, the children love it: they had to scrape
the snow off it to use it over Easter!!!
It took nearly four hours to assemble, the instruction could have
been clearer and I am quite good at DIY assembly but all the parts
were there which is always my greatest worry.
It fits the garden Ok taking up about one fifth – the oval shape is
good.
I look forward to receiving the cover.
Kind Regards,

“Thanks for your email below, which my wife flipped on to me.
We're absolutely delighted with the trampoline, which is a perfect
shape for the space we had - and couldn't have taken a standard
round trampoline bigger than 10 feet.
Assembly was pretty easy - save for one missing instruction about
making sure the holes either side of the T-joint were showing for
the yellow springs. We thought we had the structure done, but then
found we had to swap around 3 or 4 of the pipes to make sure the
holes were in the right place. Other than that it was fine -
probably 3-4 hours for 2 people.
Looking forward to getting the cover.
Best
of luck with the business - it's a great product.”
