Which Go Kart?

With so many different go-karts to choose from, how do you know which one is right for you? We have written this guide to help you choose between the huge variety of go-karts we have on offer. If you’re still unsure which one to choose, our customer service team are happy to help and offer further advice, they can be reached on 01342 833464 Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

It is imperative that you choose the right size of go kart for your child to make sure that they can start using it straight away and still get plenty of playing years out of it. Go-karts are usually sized by age and have adjustable seats to grow with your child and ensure they can reach the pedals adequately and comfortably.

Tyre type

Air tyres are a very popular feature on go-karts – they are more versatile and easier to ride on all terrains such as grass and pavements. Alternative tyres have a rubber tread, so they are still good for all round use and are not noisy.

Pedal go-karts or powered go-karts?

Some of our go-karts are powered which means that your pedalling effort is supported by the motor, the harder you pedal, the more support you get, they can reach speeds of up to 16km per hour! These go-karts come with a removeable battery which provides at least 2 hours of carefree driving.

Other things to consider

Most of our go-karts feature the freewheel feature which means that if your child is for example pedalling and then stops pedalling, or going down a slope, the pedals will not continue to move round and force the child’s legs with the motion. It also means that there is a forward / backward motion. This is much safer and much more enjoyable for the child.
