Welcome to madfun.co.uk. These Terms of Service apply to all users of our website and all customers of madfun.co.uk (a trading name of MadFun Ltd).
By using our website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check them before placing any future orders.
1. Contract Formation (Invitation to Treat)
Before we get into the "small print," please note that the display of products on our website constitutes an ‘Invitation to Treat’ and not a binding offer to sell.
When you send your web order to us, you are making an ‘Offer’ to purchase the goods. Upon receipt, we will begin processing your order and send you an acknowledgement email. A legally binding ‘Contract’ between you and MadFun Ltd is only formed when we 'Accept' your order. Acceptance is confirmed when your order status is changed to ‘Despatched’.
2. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. All notices and communications shall be in the English language.
3. Prices and VAT
All prices are displayed in Great British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT at the prevailing rate. The price you pay will be the price advertised at the time of your order, which will be reflected on your emailed invoice.
While we strive for 100% accuracy, errors may occur. If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on your order, we reserve the right to contact you. You may then choose to pay the difference and proceed or cancel the order for a full refund. We reserve the right to change advertised prices at any time.
4. Payment
Payment is taken at the point your order is processed into our system. We undertake validation and verification checks on all payment details. You represent that all details provided for the purpose of your order are true and accurate.
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express (Amex).
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay.
- Other: PayPal, Klarna.
We reserve the right to refuse any order at our sole discretion.
5. Availability and Product Descriptions
All products are subject to availability. If a product is unavailable, we reserve the right to offer a substitute of equivalent value, specification, and price. If no suitable alternative exists, we will notify you and issue a full refund at your request.
Manufacturers periodically update their product designs. We reserve the right to supply these updated versions even if images or descriptions on the website vary slightly from the current stock.
6. Changes and Cancellations
- No Changes: Once an order is placed, we are generally able to make amendments to the items or delivery address as long as your order has not been processed for dispatch. No changes or cancellations are available once an item has been picked in our warehouse or dispatched. In this case, it will be treated as a return.
- Cancellations: You may request a cancellation, but please note that once an item has been "picked" in our warehouse or dispatched, it cannot be cancelled without incurring a restocking charge. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for more details.
7. Returns and Refunds
In accordance with our 90-day satisfaction guarantee, you have the right to cancel your contract within 90 calendar days from the day after your goods are received.
- Notification: You must email cancel@madfun.co.uk with your name, order number, and a description of the goods.
- Condition: Items must be returned clean, unused, and in their original packaging. Items cannot be returned if assembly has been partially or fully completed, unless the item is found to be faulty.
- Costs: The cost and risk of return transit are yours. We recommend a registered, tracked service.
- Exclusions: Delivery surcharges for special methods or remote areas are non-refundable.
- Deductions: We reserve the right to deduct amounts from refunds where goods show signs of unreasonable use leading to diminished value.
- Refund Timeline: Refunds are processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned items.
8. Installation Service
8.1 Installation and assembly services for products purchased through madfun.co.uk are provided via our partner, Taskrabbit.
madfun.co.uk (MadFun Ltd) simply provides a link to the Taskrabbit platform to facilitate the booking of assembly and installation services.
8.2 Taskrabbit is a platform that connects customers with Taskers. Taskers are identity and background-checked, independent contractors who use the Taskrabbit platform as a means to provide services in various categories, including furniture assembly, mounting, installation, and delivery. Taskers are not employees or agents of MadFun Ltd or Taskrabbit.
8.3 Customers hire Taskers directly through the Taskrabbit platform. All bookings, scheduling, and payments for installation services are handled directly between the customer and Taskrabbit.
8.4 madfun.co.uk is not responsible for the fulfillment, quality, or conduct of the services provided by Taskers. We do not provide, promise, or guarantee specific task outcomes for the assembly or installation.
8.5 Any claims or issues arising from the installation services must be managed through the Taskrabbit platform.
Please note that the Taskrabbit "Happiness Pledge" is a discretionary program provided by Taskrabbit and does not constitute an insurance policy or a legal guarantee from MadFun Ltd.

9. Acceptance of Goods and Faulty Items
You must inspect the goods within a reasonable time (we recommend 48 hours) after receipt. You will be deemed to have accepted the goods unless you notify us of a rejection within this timeframe.
If a product arrives damaged or faulty, you must notify sales@madfun.co.uk with supporting photographic evidence. This does not affect your statutory rights.
10. Liability
We warrant that products will be of satisfactory quality and that services will be provided with reasonable skill and care.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you for the product concerned.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- We exclude all other express or implied terms, representations, or warranties regarding our products or website.
- This limit does not apply to death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. B2B and Commercial Sales
While we primarily serve households, these terms apply to business-to-business (B2B) sales, including sales to schools, councils, and care homes. Specific commercial warranties may apply depending on the product manufacturer; please contact our team for details on commercial-grade equipment.
