Description
The Base Explorer is the most affordable and compact climbing frame in our Discovery range. It’s available in 1.5m or 1.8m platform height to give little ones plenty of headroom as they grow. The ground floor den and upstairs platform are spacious and can be comfortably used by 4-5 children at the same time, whilst still providing safe access to the monkey bars, slide and ramp.
This is not your average climbing frame; it’s much bigger than most climbing frames on the market. It’s also suitable for all ages and not just toddlers, unlike most cheaper alternatives, due to the generous platform height. Built with commercial grade timber - Scandinavian, pressure-treated Redwood, which is known for its good quality, this is a robust construction that will last for many years to come, reflected by our 15 year guarantee on the timber (against rot and infestations).
With a great choice of accessories, you can design the perfect playground for the whole family. Choose between a wave slide, super slide, tube slide (only available for 1.8m platform height), monkey bars/ swings, climbing wall, scramble net, fire pole and more.

Our frames are made by hand by our team in Gloucestershire who have over 15 years’ experience. All timber is sustainably sourced from FSC or PEFC endorsed forests. If you choose our installation service, we always concrete our climbing frames in place so you can be assured the equipment is safe, sturdy and durable. Our playgrounds work best on flat, level ground but our skilled installers can work miracles on uneven landscape.
The Base Explorer in the photos includes:
